Engility has an opening for a System Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) Engineer located in Chantilly. This position requires insight and experience in a variety of systems engineering, operational readiness preparation, and operations support tasks. This individual will assist the government customer with end-to-end planning, implementation, deployment, operation and enhancement of complex systems. This will include requirements definition, independent verification and validation, readiness and performance analysis, document preparation and review, and status tracking. Roles and Responsibilities: Position requires strong system engineering perspective and coordination skills to support a government team in technical coordination, test planning and execution, progress tracking, and operational readiness determinations. The SETA will actively participate throughout the acquisition process in order to influence development of a capability that is testable. Reviews readiness event artifacts for sufficiency, accuracy and risks. Supports oversight of development contractor activities, including planning of verification and test activities, and test witnessing. Compiles and analyzes test results data to determine conformity of the product or capability to the requirements. Documents change requests/deficiencies as a result of test data analysis.

Required Qualifications

* Must possess an active TS/SCI clearnance with ability to successfully obtain a polygraph

* Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, although preference will be given to a candidate with a Master's degree in a technical discipline

* Requires 5 years of experience in a systems engineering role

* Minimum of 2 years recent or current experience in system or software development, operations support, or other direct support to the intelligence community (IC)

* Familiarity with modern cloud and application service provider implementations for software systems

* Familiarity with end to end life-cycle management of software systems.

* Experience writing requirements document, test plans, and other common engineering documents

* Experience with interoperability and integration testing, as well as functional testing of software

* Must be able to review existing test procedures, make modifications and improvements, and execute these procedures.

* Outstanding oral and written communication skills, and a strong desire to work in a dynamic team environment are also required.

Desired Qualifications

* Experience with applications running on Commercial Cloud Services/Amazon Web Services

* Experience with Agile software development
