Job Description

Controlled F.O.R.C.E. is seeking an ACLS Instructor to provide training services to our client located in Bethesda, MD. Qualified individuals will possess at least 6 months of training experience and an ACLS Instructor Certification. Experience teaching Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Life Support (PALS) are highly desired.

* Bachelors or equivalent degree OR 2 full years of equivalent experience.
* AHA Basic Life Support Instructor, AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Instructor and AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor cards required.
* Proficient computer skills and knowledge.
* One year professional experience within the preceding three years working as an American Heart Association ACLS, BLS, and PALS Instructor.
* One of the following: National Registry or State Certification as an EMT or Paramedic.
* Thorough knowledge of the most up-to-date educational strategies, principles, and techniques in developing and presenting courses
* The employee is required to be skilled in applying basic instructional techniques and dealing independently with the usual instructional problems, adjusting or supplementing instructional materials and approaches. Typically, the instructional problems involve organization, illustration, and interpretation of the material and communication in reaching and motivating the students. The makeup of the assigned student body poses typical problems of communication and motivation (e.g., the students are widely diverse in age, background, and interests; or the students may be an apathetic or captive audience).
