We are currently seeking talented individuals for a Junior Software Assurance Engineer positions at our Dulles, Virginia location. The position is a career starter in a fast-paced, hands-on, and cutting-edge engineering environment in our Space System Business Group.

Job Responsibilities

* Work with the program's Software Assurance (SWA) Lead to provide daily assurance of software design, development, integration, test, and maintenance for the program

* Perform process and product audits under the guidance of SWA Lead

* Analyze nonconformances and help identify corrective actions

* Publish findings and results, write reports and submit metrics

* Support Software Configuration Control Board Lead by reviewing software change request completeness, make updates and help readiness for technical review

* Support performing configurations releases of software products

* Review data for completeness and adherence to established processes and procedures

* Regularly interact with cross-functional teams

Required Qualifications

* BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace, or a closely related discipline

* General understanding of fundamental engineering principles, practices, and theories

* Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint

* Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as strong interpersonal and problem solving skills

* Capable of multitasking

* Ability to work well in a team environment

* Permanent and legal right to work in the U.S. without student visa or sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

* 3.0 GPA or higher

* Software development life cycle concept

* Nonconforming process concept

* General understanding of Object Oriented Design/Development

* Web development

* Understand requirements life cycle

* Networking and Computer Hardware interfacing

Education and Experience

BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace, or a closely related discipline
