**Office of Transfer Services Admissions Assistant**
The George Mason University Office of Admissions is conducting a search for a customer-service focused Admissions Assistant to staff the Office of Transfer Services. **Responsibilities**
* Counseling prospective transfer students and current applicants;
* Conducting individual meetings with students on a walk-in basis helping them navigate the admissions process;
* Collaborating with other team members across the university and within the Office of Admissions to ensure superior customer service and drive enrollment; and
* Additional responsibilities as assigned to support the Office of Admissions and Enrollment Central.
**Required Qualifications:**
* Bachelor s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
* Superior oral and written communication skills;
* Detail-oriented;
* Comfortable working with diverse populations;
* Ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential information and situations;
* Computer literacy and willingness to learn new software applications;
* Proven ability to work positively as a team member;
* Philosophy of superior customer service;
* Ability to assimilate large amounts of information quickly; and
* Resourceful.
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Previous experience with Ellucian Banner software;
* Previous experience with Salesforce CRM;
* Prior admissions or customer service experience;
* Bilingual;
* Knowledge of military educational benefits; and
* Knowledge of transfer admissions.
The Office of Admissions serves students Monday through Friday in the Office of Transfer Services from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Candidate is expected to work 20 hours a week.
