Sr. Financial Analyst, US Oncology

As a Sr. Financial Analyst, US Oncology, in Gaithersburg, MD, you'll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients' lives.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for finance business partnering for select brands and executing required financial planning, reporting and close activities for the US Oncology team. This role includes responsibility for financial reporting and analytics of budgets and actual results for US Oncology brands and functional teams.

* Support the month end close process by working directly with the brand teams on expense tracking and management to achieve financial targets (accruals management, expense tracking, coordination with Portfolio Operations Management team)

* Provide month and quarter end commentary on expense management and prepare account reconciliations.

* Prepare efficient and accurate financial analysis of budgets, forecasts and actual results for review by budget owners and Senior Management

* Responsible for obtaining a solid understanding of key business drivers and risk factors within supported brands and applying this knowledge to financial budgets and analyses

* Ensure adherence to all SOX 404 controls and local financial reporting requirements

* Drive simplification of Finance processes and foster a culture of best practice sharing

* Support the preparation of presentations and financial analysis used for Senior Leadership reviews

* Perform ad-hoc reporting requirements and participate in special Finance projects

* Ensure a high degree of financial budget ownership across the brand team, and provide training on the financial process as needed.

Essential Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) required. (Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred)

* 3+ years of finance experience required.

* Excellent PC skills and experience using financial systems, preferably Hyperion Planning, SAP, SAP Business Warehouse, Excel and PowerPoint

* Strong analytical ability

* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including oral and written

* High degree of accuracy with attention to detail

* Demonstrated ability to perform in an environment that emphasizes teamwork to meet deliverables

* Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage multiple and frequently changing priorities

* Demonstrated capability to meet strict deadlines with a high level of ownership and strong sense of urgency

* Confidence in working with Senior Management
